Suspension of Pioneer Nasi Lemak, Mixed Veg, Rice, Noodle stall’s business operations at Pioneer Hall Food Court

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has suspended the food business operations of Pioneer Nasi Lemak, Mixed Veg, Rice, Noodle stall at Pioneer Hall Food Court (located at 162 Nanyang Crescent, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore 637033), with effect from 8 May 2025 until further notice.

2             On 8 May 2025, during an inspection at the said premises, non-compliances such as severe pest infestation (live cockroaches), dirty chillers and exhaust hood were observed.

3             In the interest of public health, SFA directed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the food safety practices and the cleanliness of its premises. All food handlers working in the premises are required to re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1.

4             Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure that regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.

5             All food operators should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management. SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food hygiene and food safety requirements.

6              Members of the public who come across poor hygiene practices in food establishments are advised not to patronise them and provide feedback via our online feedback form (www.sfa.gov.sg/feedback) with details for our follow-up investigations.
