Responsibilities of Licensed Farms

Licensees of farms have the responsibility to ensure that their food and food products are safe for consumption and that they comply with SFA’s licensing conditions.

What are licensed farms?

Licensed farms are land- or sea-based premises regulated by SFA for production of primary produce as food for human consumption. They include fish farms, shrimp farms, egg farms, dairy farms, vegetable farms, or mushroom farms.

What are the responsibilities of licensed farms?

Licensees of farms are responsible for ensuring food safety by complying with the conditions of licence and ensuring that their licences/registrations are valid.
