In line with the elevated set of safe distancing measures announced by the Government on 3 Apr 2020, companies providing essential services and in selected economic sectors which are critical for our local and the global supply chains will continue. The food-related sector is one of the essential services that will continue to operate to support Singapore's daily needs.
However, with effect from 21 April 2020, 2359hrs, standalone outlets (excluding those in hawker centres, foodcourts and coffeeshops) that sell only beverages, packaged snacks, confectioneries or desserts, as well as F&B outlets in parks will be required to close their outlets. All other F&B establishments that sell meals can continue to remain open for takeaway and delivery services only.
On 02 May 2020, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) announced that it will ease of the tighter circuit breaker measures, which were announced on 21 April 2020, progressively over the coming weeks. This is in preparation for the safe and gradual resumption of economic and community activities after the end of the Circuit Breaker period on 01 June 2020.
From 12 May 2020 onwards, selected F&B operations suspended on 21 April 2020 will be allowed to resume their operations.
