Overview
To enhance the technical knowledge and capability of food establishments to comply with overseas food import requirements and access market opportunities, SFA has compiled a list of Market Reports containing information on overseas destination requirements for food products made or grown in Singapore that are to be exported.
The Market Reports include the relevant food regulations and standards of 5 generic food categories, covering destination countries/regions/markets with notable food trade links and connections with Singapore. These reports aim to provide market access information on food products made or grown locally intended for exports.
The 5 generic food categories are:
- Egg and egg products
- Fish and fish products
- Fruits and vegetables and their products
- Meat and meat products
- Milk and dairy products
The destination markets under each region include:
- For Southeast Asia: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam
- For East Asia: China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macau Special Administrative Region, Japan, South Korea
- For South Asia: India, Maldives
- For West Asia: Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates
- For Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
- For Europe: European Union, Russia, United Kingdom
- For America: Brazil, Canada, United States
While Market Reports will be updated annually to reflect changes in overseas destination requirements, SFA advises exporters to verify the information against the source (i.e. official requirements of destination countries/regions) as destination countries/regions would have the most up-to-date information on their requirements.
