365 Food Service Pte Ltd fined $8,000 for multiple food safety lapses

               365 Food Service Pte Ltd, a caterer, was fined $8,000 by the Court today for multiple food safety lapses.

2             In June 2024, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) conducted an inspection of the of the central kitchen premises located at 239 Pandan Loop, #06-02 Food Concept @ Pandan S(128425) and found multiple food safety lapses. The lapses include pest infestation, poor housekeeping and maintenance, improper storage of food, preparation of food outside and unauthorised alteration of layout plan.

3          In the interest of public health, SFA had directed the licensee to suspend their operations from 7 June 2024 to 15 July 2024 to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the cleanliness of its premises.

4          All food establishments should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, as well as adhere to proper food hygiene and food safety requirements. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Sale of Food Act. Offenders are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $100 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.

5            Food safety is a joint responsibility.
