Administrative Exemption granted for processed cheese containing up to maximum 50% (w/w) moisture
Regulation 121(a) of the Food Regulations requires that processed cheese shall contain “not more than 45% (w/w) moisture”. SFA has tapped on the powers under section 55 of the Sale of Food Act to grant an administrative exemption to food businesses for the import, manufacture and sale of processed cheese (as defined under Regulation 121) containing up to a maximum of 50% (w/w) moisture in Singapore, with effect from 20 April 2021.
