Despite having limited available sea space for aquaculture, Singapore has a small but thriving and increasingly important food fish industry. Our coastal fish farms locally produce marine food fish species such as Grouper, Seabass, Snapper and Milkfish. Our freshwater food fish farms also produce food fish species such as Snakehead, Tilapia, Catfish etc.
