Suspension of Angel’s Restaurant Pte Ltd at 3017 Bedok North Street 5 #02-31, Gourmet East Kitchen, Singapore 486121 lifted after meeting required standards

 

                The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has lifted the suspension of Angel’s Restaurant Pte Ltd located at 3017 Bedok North Street 5 #02-31, Gourmet East Kitchen, Singapore 486121 today.
 
 2             On 19 January 2023, during an inspection of the said premises, non-compliances such as severe infestation of live cockroaches were observed in the food preparation areas. Several lapses related to food safety practices were also detected. In the interest of public health, SFA instructed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the food safety practices and cleanliness of its premises.
 
3              Angel’s Restaurant Pte. Ltd, suspended from 20 January 2023, is now allowed to resume operations as it has rectified the lapses that were identified leading to its suspension (https://www.sfa.gov.sg/newsroom/food-hygiene-notices/detail/suspension-of-the-food-business-operation-by-angel-s-restaurant-pte-ltd-located-at-3017-bedok-north-street-5-02-31-gourmet-east-kitchen-singapore-486121)
 
4              Following the lifting of suspension, SFA will continue to place Angel’s Restaurant Pte. Ltd. under close surveillance to ensure they adhere to food safety requirements.
 
5              Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.
 
6             All food operators should ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management. SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food hygiene and food safety requirements. Offenders are liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
