Suspension of the Food Business Operation by Angel’s Restaurant Pte Ltd located at 3017 Bedok North Street 5 #02-31, Gourmet East Kitchen Singapore 486121
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has suspended the food business operation of Angel’s Restaurant Pte. Ltd. (located at 3017 Bedok North Street 5 #02-31, Gourmet East Kitchen Singapore 486121) with effect from 20 January 2023 until further notice.
2 On 19 January 2023, during an inspection of the said premises, non-compliances such as severe pest infestation (live cockroaches) was observed in the food preparation areas. Other food safety lapses were detected which could cause the food to be contaminated.
3 In the interest of public health, SFA directed the licensee to rectify the lapses and take necessary measures to improve the food safety practices and the cleanliness of its premises.
4 Food safety is a joint responsibility as food can be contaminated anywhere along the food chain. While SFA continues to be vigilant and works to ensure that regulatory measures are in place and properly enforced, the industry and consumers must also play their part.
5 All food operators should ensure that their premises are clean and well-maintained, and staff are adequately trained on proper food safety management. SFA will take enforcement action against food operators who do not adhere to regulations or comply with food hygiene and food safety requirements. Offenders are liable on conviction to a penalty not exceeding $5,000 for each offence.
