Free Sale Certificate
This Free Sale Certificate certifies that products you import comply with the standards set out in the opens in a new windowFood Regulations and the opens in a new windowWholesome Meat & Fish Act for sale and export in Singapore.
The products must be approved for import by SFA.
Types of product certification
Exporters can apply for:
- Imported Meat and Fish Products
- Locally Processed Meat, Fish or Egg Products
- Processed Food (excluding meat and fish products)
- Vaccine and Feed Premix

How to apply
STEP 1: Fill in the details in the online application form. It may take you 10 – 20 minutes. Please complete your application within 1.5 hours.
STEP 2: Provide the required information (e.g. product description, quantity, ingredient list, unit packing, etc.)
STEP 3: Attach soft copies of supporting documents (e.g. import permit, invoices, etc.)
STEP 4: Pay the fees per certificate:
- online by GIRO
- by cheque/NETS/cash card during certificate collection at SFA
After applying
- The free sale certificate will be ready for collection 2 working days from the date of approval of application
- Check the status of your application online to confirm if the certificate can be collected.
