Busy preparing for the opening of your café or starting up your own food stall? Here’s some good news: Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has now made it quicker for you to obtain your food licence with their new initiative.
Disruptions in Singapore’s food supply can happen from time to time. However, there are ways for the industry to stay ready and minimise the impact of such disruptions to our food supply – and SFA works with the industry to do just that.
The newly enhanced Agri-food Cluster Transformation (ACT) Fund enables a greater range of our local farms to embark on transformation projects to enhance their capability, capacity and sustainability.
Pre-licensing inspections are carried out to ensure food retail establishments are properly designed and equipped to prepare food safely before they can start operations. To speed up the process of inspecting about 4,000 food retail establishments annually, SFA is tapping on technology to help businesses start operations sooner.
All day and every day, officers from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) fan out across the island as they work to ensure and secure a supply of safe food for Singapore.
