It’s back to school! If you are packing sandwiches for your little one’s lunch box, it’s best to prepare them ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze them the night before.
As harmful bacteria multiply rapidly in the ‘Danger Zone’ (temperatures between 5 and 60 degrees Celsius), sandwiches containing perishable ingredients such as meat, poultry and eggs should be kept cold at all times.
TIP: Pack sandwiches in an insulated lunch box or bag to keep them cold!
