SFA operates 2 fishing ports at Jurong and Senoko, providing these services to foreign and local fishing vessels:
- bunkering
- discharging
- transshipment of fish
- marketing and fishing harbour activities
- wholesale market for fish
Non-regulatory function of ports
The maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation of the ports and its whole markets have been outsourced to a managing agent from 1 November 2005 onwards. The current managing agent at the ports is M/s CPG Facilities Management Pte Ltd
Jurong Fishery Port
Jurong Fishery Port (JFP), an international port for foreign fishing vessels to land their fish catch, started operations in 1969. Located at Fishery Port Road, it has a land area of 5.1 hectares.
Facilities
JFP serves as a docking and bunkering base for foreign fishing vessels operating in the Indian and Pacific Ocean. It is also a marketing and distribution centre for fresh fish.
These facilities can also be found at JFP:
- a 400-metre long wharf
- a wholesale fish market
- a computerised water batching system that dispenses drinking water to vessels berthed there
- shops
- ice-crusher stalls
- canteens
- fish merchants’ office units
Supply of Fish
In 2020, approximately 30% of Singapore’s seafood imports are handled at JFP. The main seafood item sold at JFP is chilled fish. Seafood sold at JFP are imported from:
- Indonesia via sea route
- Malaysia and Thailand via land route
- Sources such as Australia, Bangladesh, China, India, Myanmar, Taiwan and Vietnam via air route
Frozen tuna is also transshipped through JFP.
Marketing & Wholesale Activities
JFP has a 9,000m2 wholesale fish market which houses 110 market lots. There are about 103 fish merchants that conduct wholesale fish business at JFP. About 1,500 fish retailers, fish processors and institutional buyers come to this market daily to buy fish.

Senoko Fishery Port
Senoko Fishery Port (SFP), the home base for our local fishing fleet (4 off-shore; 35 in-shore), started operations in 1997. It was constructed at a cost of S$26 million to replace the former Punggol Fishing Port and has a land area of 3.24 hectares.

Supply of Fish
In 2020, approximately 4% of Singapore’s total seafood imports are handled by SFP. The main seafood items sold are chilled fish and chilled crustaceans. Seafood sold at SFP are from:
- Local fishing vessels and fish farms, and in-shore vessels via sea route
- Sources such as Malaysia, China, Vietnam via the land and/or air route
Marketing & Wholesale Activities
SFP has a 3,326 m2 wholesale fish market which houses 36 market lots. There are 25 fish merchants that conduct wholesale fish business at SFP. About 250 fish retailers, fish processors and institutional buyers come to this market daily to buy fish.
